This is where third-party solutions like Unitrends come into play, offering enhanced capabilities (including 3rd party cloud disaster recovery), greater control over backup and recovery processes, and support for a broader range of environments beyond AWS, making them a more robust option for comprehensive data protection.
Security and compliance are a shared responsibility between AWS and their customers. AWS maintains the responsibility of securing the cloud, protecting the infrastructure that runs AWS cloud services including hardware, software, networking and facilities.

For security and privacy reasons, AWS Support does not have visibility or access to customer data. If you do not have backups of your Amazon Machine Image (AMI) data, AWS Support cannot recover it for you.
