What is Backup Profile Management and how does it work?
Backup Profile Management empowers IT pros with intuitive and powerful controls to selectively include or exclude data during the creation or modification of file-level backup policies. You can build Backup Profiles directly within UniView and seamlessly apply them to both new and existing backup policies, enabling greater customization and control.

Why is this important?
Backup Profile Management allows you to protect only what matters by avoiding unnecessary backups, such as temporary files or folders for pictures and videos. With advanced settings, you can exclude the System State — critical components like the registry, boot files and system configuration data — making it ideal for scenarios where you only need to back up user data and are confident in your ability to reinstall the operating system separately, if needed.
