Our recent quarterly update webinar highlighted our latest product innovations and provided a sneak peek into what’s coming next.

During our latest webinar, we unveiled several exciting updates and innovations designed to enhance data backup and disaster recovery capabilities. We also recapped a few major deliveries in Q2. Did you know that Unitrends has released:

Just-in-Time User Provisioning

Just-in-time user provisioning eliminates the hassle of manual account setups and makes managing user accounts and access rights seamless. As a Kaseya customer, you may be subscribed to more than one of our IT Complete modules. KaseyaOne offers centralized access, unified log-in and more. Integrate UniView with KaseyaOne to take advantage of just-in-time user provisioning. As soon as new KaseyaOne users are granted access to a module, their accounts are instantly created with a predefined default role. This automation not only saves you valuable time but also enhances your security by ensuring consistent access controls right from the start.

UniView: VMware Asset and Policy Management

Managing your assets just got a whole lot easier with UniView. Our intuitive platform lets you view, monitor, set up and remove assets, like physical servers and virtual machines, effortlessly. You can also manage backup and replication policies for these assets directly from UniView. For example, if you need to protect new VMware systems, you can do so by simply adding any vCenter or ESXi servers and all the hosted VMs will be automatically added for individual management.

UniView’s streamlined policy management enables you to easily set and manage backup schedules for multiple assets across one or more backup appliances, all from a single interface. Tailor your schedules to meet your recovery point objective (RPO) goals. UniView makes it simple to ensure your data is protected exactly the way you want.

UniView: Hot Copy Job Management

Pair your appliance with a Unitrends Cloud backup copy target for instant protection with hot copy jobs. Just toggle the “Hot Copy” icon, and your appliance will automatically create a backup copy policy for your selected assets. As soon as a backup job is completed, a hot backup copy is immediately created and sent to the Unitrends Cloud. The secure, immutable Unitrends Cloud offers long-term data retention and hosted Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service for complete peace of mind.

Instant Recovery On-Box Management Controls

With this new update, Unitrends can instantly recover an image-based backup directly on the appliance’s internal hypervisor in the event a server or workload goes down, which is ideal for small shops with a limited infrastructure footprint. This release offers more granular control over the image, including CPU and RAM configuration and power management, directly within the Unitrends UI.

We’re excited to share a sneak peek of some upcoming features:

UniView: Hyper-V Backup Policy Management

We will be expanding UniView’s policy management and scheduling capabilities to include Hyper-V assets, making it easier to protect and manage these environments.

UniView: Asset Hierarchy Visualization

This feature will significantly improve the management experience by clearly displaying the relationships between protected assets, such as a VM and its hosted application, for improved clarity and ease of use.

Our customers rocked the vote!

We changed things up this quarter and invited the audience to vote on a few key items. This was an opportunity for customers to make their voices heard as we craft the future of Unitrends.

We have a wealth of ideas for new features and capabilities that we want to bring to our platform. While this is just a glimpse of what’s in the pipeline, we’re eager to hear from our customers about these key items. We wanted to know how they would prioritize them to best improve their day-to-day experience with our solution.

2. Ability to restore individual virtual disks from backups
